UPDATE, April 16: The center lane of West Magnolia Avenue between Cox Street and Thomas Street is expected to be closed on April 17 for asphalt repair. The closure is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Both outside lanes of traffic will remain open throughout the work.

Drivers and pedestrians should exercise caution in the area.

AUBURN, Ala.- Lane closures are expected to begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 on West Magnolia Avenue between Cox Street and Thomas Street as sewer personnel make repairs to the sanitary sewer line in this area. The westbound lane and median will remain closed while work is conducted. Drivers are advised to avoid the area while work is in progress to prevent delays.

The City of Auburn experienced a sanitary sewer overflow on the afternoon of April 15 within the sewer collection system in the median of West Magnolia Avenue near the Cox Road intersection. Sewer personnel responded and removed the blockage, stopping the discharge.
